For the past 3 weeks I have been eating better, with the exception of a couple birthday parties, some cake was eaten, and exercising by walking on a treadmill. When the boy takes a nap I can get on the treadmill for a little time. About one hour max.
So I have about one hour to get on the treadmill and do what I can for that time. Exercising that is. The first week I spent about 15 minutes, 4 days for the week, averaging 2.8 mph and averaging about .56 miles per day. Good starting point for me I think.
Week 2 I bumped up the speed to 3.0 mph and averaged a little more than .75 miles for a total of 20 minutes. I could only squeeze in 3 days that week.
Week 3 .. this week .. day 1, 3.0 mph for 15 minutes, 5.0 mph for 3 minutes, and 2.5 mph for 2 minutes to cool down. I was right at 1 mile when I was done. A little over. Day 2 .. Today .. 2.5 mph for 30 minutes, right at 1.27 miles, and over 150 calories burned, with 56 of those f cals.
Water, water, water all day so far and some grilled chicken breast and veggies for dinner tonight. I have been also doing the Activia Challenge for two weeks. I tweaked it a little though. They recommend one a day for 14 days. I have had one for breakfast and one for lunch with a granola bar in between for a snack. Then for dinner trying to keep it light as well but eating some protein and lots of veggies.
Somehow I want to get fruit in there somewhere. I’m not a big fruit eater anymore but that needs to change.

I don’t feel or look any thinnier to myself so I am getting discouraged a little but sticking with this.
