So how is everyone today? We are finally back from the Ultimate Vacation Experience and let me just start by saying HECK YEAH. Thanks to Nina and Nino we got to have a really nice time … extraordinaire, fantastic, out of this world vacation experience. I personally have NEVER had such a great time traveling in a POV across the great countryside. But the Vacation is a story for another time.
I have something I want to share with you that really makes me wonder if kids don’t really see more than we think or realize in our action and in what we say. Out loud!
So I was plugging away on the computer and my youngest son, who is only 16 months to date, wanted to sit next to me at the desk. Now I have sat him on my lap many a times so that he could watch the computer screen with me while I was talking to his Mommy on IM and working on websites or some cool flash or whatever else I was doing while he was up and being a boy.

I figured I would give him his own little corner of the desk today and I set him up with a keyboard and access to the side slide out thingy and to my surprise he placed his thumbs on the spacebar and his fingers as close as they could be to the home keys on out. (He still has little tiny baby hands)
This is a random image from a trip we took to go and see Q’s cool room and all the toys!!

Very nice … How amazing is it that at 16 months he has taken notice where my hands are placed on a keyboard and he doesn’t hunt and peck like his older brother of 6 years who refuses to pay attention to little things like hand placement but has leaked out an almost cuss word a time or two. Still these two boys are so bright. They are our little shinning stars.
