Home Invasion, Are you Covered?

There is a security system in our home that has been here since before we moved into this house. All of the sensors are still there and even the keypad is still functional in the garage. There is even a sticker in the front window that says there is an alarm on this house. But with no fail there will be at least three salesmen a month selling security systems that will come by the house to see if we need an alarm.

I wonder if they don’t see the sign on the window or if the see it and say .. “Hey … let’s sell them a new one!” We even had a couple guys the other day knock on the door and ask where we wanted the sign placed in the front yard. In our city that is opening your home up for invasion. There are so many scandals in this city that you really need to be careful who you deal with when your home is involved. Watch the news and you will be amazed at some of the stories that come about.

Make sure you do your homework and be sure that the company that is installing your security system in your home is on the up and up! Most of the time you can check with the local BBB or even better still the local PD to get a little information on the people securing your home. An alarm system really is a good asset and investment for your home. In most cases they can even lower your home owners insurance.
