Car People Will Rip You Off

Getting all you can out of your car is one heck of an expensive task. We recently took our van to the doctors, Firestone, and had an oil change and a inspection. The inspection was free and the oil change we had a coupon for but the inspection showed that we are a little lacking in maintenance. Which I find hard to believe the van is brand new and has a GM Certification which is like a 300 point inspection, done on the vehicle before we made our purchase. So we have this really expensive list of things that we need to replace on the van and they make it seem like it is vital and life threatening.

OK .. now Ern used to be a mechanic until he was injured. Now I know just from listening to him talk what is life threatening on a vehicle. Is it that I am a girl and they want to take advantage of me? Yes as a matter of fact it is. One mechanic that I have ever met that was not into ripping people off is Ern. He always did the right thing when it came to helping people out with their cars.

So we will take this huge list back to the dealer and see why they didn’t find this stuff on their 300 point GM Certification that we paid $2000 extra to have done.
