Bonnie Springs

There was this one time .. in band camp. We went out to Bonnie Springs a few weeks back to take the boys on a little adventure before they had to start their first day of school. They wanted to go see the animals in the petting zoo. A very long time ago we went to Bonnie Springs by accident and ended up going through the petting zoo ourselves and where a little unimpressed at the time but had hoped that they would have changed the accommodations for the animals by now. I mean it has been like ten years. Actually the time in between may be even longer than that.

Anyway … when we went there the first time it was like a freak show. The animals where all deformed and I swear that they do experiments on those poor animals. I have never seen deer that had antlers growing out of their antlers. Come to think about it I have never seen deer in Southern Nevada. Being from the East Coast I have seen my share of colder climate animals in the wild. I never thought I would be able to see them in the heat of the desert. But sure enough they are at Bonnie Springs.

I read this story about my good friend Julie and her trip to Bonnie Springs. Ironically enough I have almost the exact same experience as they did on their little trip to the animal testing facilities at Bonnie Springs. I mean the petting zoo.
